Total Hip Cup component
The Acetabulum is the anatomic name of the hip socket in the pelvic bone. The cup of the total hip replacement joint is called the Acetabulum component. The component is shaped like a cup that articulates with the femoral head or ball. The cup comes in a range of materials from ceramic to metal.
