Complications associated with the robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery were small and mostly involved infection of the port site incisions. The use of robotic assisted surgery had very few errors and most complications that patients experienced were related to the vaginal mesh.

    A limitation of the robotically assisted laparoscopic surgery is the learning curve in utilizing the da Vinci system. Learning to rely of the visual input to operate the robotic arm may take advanced training. Another limitation is the price tag of the da Vinci system. Some systems can cost around $1 million dollars, which some hospitals may find financially difficult to purchase the device. [5,7,8]
