Recent advancements in robotic technology have increased the use of robotic assisted laparoscopy in treating vaginal prolapse. Previous limitations of using robotic surgery included the technical difficulties in finishing the surgery and operating time. New technological advancements include such as 3-dimensional visualization, more maveurability with the robotic device. All of these improvements allow for an effective environment to treat vaginal prolapse using a robotic assisted system. [5,7,8]
